The journey of SwitchON began in 2008, as a project, with a few passionate young people dedicated to the cause of Climate Change and Environment. Over the years, we have grown as a dynamic NGO working across 4 major verticals - Clean Energy Access, Climate Smart Agriculture and Livelihood, Skills and Training, and Environment and Climate Change. 

We partner with bilateral organisations and government agencies, incubate social enterprises, farmer producer companies and micro enterprises in pursuit of our mission to bring about a change in society that is sustainable, equitable and long lasting. With this goal in mind, we have gradually widened our focus from upgrading rural livelihoods to include empirical research and policy advocacy, which again is meant to benefit people working at the grassroots. 

We, at SwitchON, believe in the transformative power of education and youth to understand and question the status-quo and create change in their lives, communities, and the world. With this belief, we have developed envirON as a free and open online platform dedicated to learning and creating awareness about environmental issues that challenge our present and future generations, and ways in which they can be overcome. By opening the classroom to all through online learning, we hope to empower students, professionals, institutions and individuals who are interested in knowing about the environment and sustainability, irrespective of who they are or where they are located.

You can freely register at envirON and start your learning journey aided with lectures from industry experts, custom-made course content, topic-wise videos and precise info-briefs, downloadable study materials, and free resources in our open library. On completion of a course, you can take a quiz to earn a certificate. You can also get yourself published and heard at envirON, while earning points and sustainable rewards, by writing blogs, researched articles and submitting videos for our platform.
